Beej part 9Beetlejuice was very proud of his present. It hadn’t been hard to find. I mean, there had been shops on every street. But her expression had been worth it. Laine’s face lit up when she saw what was inside of the package. Slowly Laine pulled out the contents, unable to comprehend what was in her hand at first. Then, realization hit her. She read the label. “Cocoa dusted milk chocolate truffles.” A smile spread across her face. These were her favorite candies ever. Had he guessed or had someone told him? Beej Part 8Beetlejuice leaned forward. “I told ya, babes. You wore out my name. Now you can’t say it.” Laine gawked at him. “Not at all?” He shrugged. “If you call me I might come, especially if it’s late…” Laine rolled her eyes. “Not happening Beej.” She got out of bed and walked downstairs. Her dad was gone. A note on the table read “Left before you were up. Have fun and I’ll see you tonight.” Laine threw the note in the trash and sat at the table. “How could you do this?” Beetlejuice chuckled. Beej part 7Laine got out of the car in a small town in Colorado. She and her dad were staying at the same hotel they had filmed the movie “The Shining”. How cool was that? Laine and her dad were staying in a “house” behind the main building off the hotel. It had two levels. The top level had just a bedroom with a bathroom. Laine chose this because she enjoyed the isolation. The bottom floor had another bedroom with a miniature kitchen area. It also had a couch in front of the tv. Laine looked around. Wow, it was really ritzy. Her dad’s work paid for all the accommodations on his trips, so Laine was free to enjoy. Laine dragged hBeej part 7

He stood defiantly, strode without much purpose, and looked about as if he had something to prove to the world. This must be Jonathan. She cleared her throat and started to introduce herself.
